How do I take a screenshot on a Chromebook?

Taking a screenshot on your Chromebook is easy and only takes a few steps. According to Google Chromebook support, here’s how to do it.

  1. Go to your Chromebook’s quick settings.

  2. Select “Screen Capture.” Make sure your screen contains the content you want to capture.

  3. With the screenshot tool, select whether you want to capture the whole screen or part of your screen.

  4. Once you have made your selection, press “Capture”.

  5. When you’ve captured your screenshot, it will be copied to your clipboard and appear in Tote on your shelf.

How to Take a Screenshot on a Chromebook Using a Keyboard

If you want a faster way to take a screenshot on your Chromebook, here’s a shortcut you can use, according to the Google Chromebook help page:

Press Ctrl+Show Windows. To take a partial screenshot, press Shift + Ctrl + Show Windows, then click and drag.

If you’re using your Chromebook tablet, you can take a screenshot by pressing the power button + volume down button.

If you want to experience more screenshot options on your Chromebook, press Shift + Ctrl + Show Windows and select from the options. If you’re using your tablet, hold down the power button and select “Screenshot”. You can also select the time and then select “Screenshot”.

This will only work if you’re using a US Chromebook with a standard English QWERTY keyboard. If you use an international keyboard, go to “Settings” then “Device” then “Keyboard” then “Show keyboard shortcuts” to find the keyboard shortcuts for your device.

How do I filter recording on a Chromebook?

To record the screen on your Chromebook, you can follow the same steps you use to take a screenshot.

  1. Go to your Chromebook’s quick settings.
